解説

　　　昨日生まれたわけではない  そんなことは百も承知 　2

　　　事を成し遂げるのは根気強さである。3

　　dógged /-ɪd/ 
形容詞｟ほめて｠〖通例名詞の前で〗不屈の, 断固とした〈決心決意など〉; 根気強い, 頑固な〈行動など〉▸ It's dogged as does it.｟ことわざ｠がんばってこそ成功する.
　文法的には非常に難しいように思う。　強調構文のようにも見えるが釈然とはしない。　このようなものは文法的に追及するよりも素直に暗記した方が良いと思う。

It's dogged ★as★ does it. 

がんばってこそ成功する. 

ここでの as は、that や which と同じく主格の関係代名詞のような働きをするらしい。だからこの英文をパラフレーズすると、次のようになる。 

It's the dogged attitude ★that★ achieves it. 

強調構文の It's ... that... を外すと次のようになる。 

The dogged attitude achieves it. 
（頑張る態度こそが、それをやり遂げる）
